Houry-ji Temple Inner Gate is a double gate built during the Asuka era.
A corridor extends from Inner Gate to Daikoudou. The corridor surrounds the Five-storied Pagoda and Kondo.
Passing through Inner Gate, you can see the elegant five-storied pagoda and the massive Kondo.
Kongōrikishi standing on the left and right of Inner Gate is the oldest statue of Niou left in Japan.
Inner Gate is not currently used as an entrance, and visitors enter from the southwest corner of the corridor.
